Summary
Large ICA Mulitplast stereoscope with polished mahogany body and base. Lockable lid on the top with brass plate around keyhole. Automatic slide changing mechanism, takes magazines holding 25 stereo diapositives 45 mm x 107 mm, therefore able to accommodate more common Taxiphote trays. Operation by turning knob on the side, which is numbered from 1 - 25. Rack focusing using the turning knobs on each side and adjustable separation lenses using a sliding lever to the right of the lenses. Push button title reader. To the rear is a ground glass screen. Base compartment with 3 drawers holding 12 slide magazines. These magazines are constructed of black metal and are numbered 1-25. The door to the base compartment can be locked using the same key. The keyhole has a metal surround. On the top of the door are the numbers 63398. On the side of the base are two hanging metal handles. Underneath the focus lenses is the label "Multiplast".

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
