Summary
Verascope stereoscope, by Jules Richard. Polished oak body wiith hinged lid and a key hole on the side and a small chrome key which locks the box. Internally an endless band with metal frames to hold 25 diapositives size 45 mm x 107 mm. These can be turned by two large black turning knobs on either side of the body. At the front are rack focusing lenses which can be manoevered by turning a black knob on the side (originally there would have been another knob on the other side). On the back is a ground glass screen. Above the focusing lenses is a label "STEREOSCOPE Bréveté SDGD vues prises avec le VERASCOPE RICHARD"
