Summary
Verascope Richard wooden hand stereoscope. This is a wooden box construction with two nickel plated lens mounts with rack focusing, it has black turned eyepieces. Beneath the lenses is a plaque which reads "Stereoscope Brevete S.G.D.G. Vues prises avec le Verascope Richard". On the right side of the box is the knurled knob to adjust the focus and a slot with a brass latch through which the images are loaded. The left side and top are unremarkable but the bottom of the box is embossed with the word "Harper". The back of the box is an opaque viewing screen.
