Summary
A Pullman changing box for photographic plates manufactured by L J & Co Ltd. It comprises a wooden box with metal fittings and a cloth bag top holding 8 glass photographic slides in metal holders.The rear door for loading is held by two brass hinges and has an inset plastic roundell bearing around the rim "THE PULLMAN CHANGING BOX" and in the centre L J & CO LONDON. An inset brass spring loaded circular swivel mechanism allows the exposed plates to be counted. The door is held closed by two metal clips on either side of the box. The front draw slide is in three hinged sectionsand secured by a metal clip.
