Summary
Ilford Sprite 35 miniature film camera fitted with detachable flash. The camera is for use of 35mm celluloid film. The camera body is made of grey plastic and has grey fabric neck strap attached at the sides. Fixed-focus f8 lens with f11and f16 stops. Single shutter speed. Metal lever film advance at the rear with small window to show number of negative. Small square viewfinder. The back of the camera can be removed by a plastic release button at the side to reveal the film compartment. Inside is the plastic spool film holder and space to collect the used film. On the top, lefthand side of the camera is a black, plastic, turn knob to rewind the film. The word 'rewind' is stamped on either side of the knob. The front of the camera has a shutter release and basic single element meniscus lens with a sliding marker for the fstops: 8, 11 and 16. The camera has a detachable flash unit, encased in plastic, which slides onto the top. The words " Made in England" are stamped on the unit. Makers label fixed on front, blue printed ink : " ILFORD SPRITE 35"
