Summary
G. Hare wet plate camera. The body is polished wood with brass fittings. It has a red leather bellows and focusing is by means of a rack and pinion onto a removable ground glass screen. The lens panel has a rising facility and the lens is mounted in a brass barrel. The only markings on the lens are '61/2 x 43/4' but the lens is believed to be by Dallmeyer. It has a leather cap. The lens barrel has a slot for waterhouse stops. An enamel plate on the top has printed ' G.Hare 11B Calthorpe St. Greys Inn Road London'. There is a tripod mount on the base.
