Summary
A Lerebours wet plate camera. The body is a wooden sliding box design and at the rear is a removable ground glass screen set in a wooden frame. There no markings or features on the top or either side. At the front of the camera, the lens is screw-mounted in brass and has an internal rack and pinion focusing mechanism. The lens casing is marked 'No 650 Vallantin Optn de 1840 a 1856 Ponte de deboutiliers (?) Mrs Lerebours Paris'. The lens has a brass cap.
