Summary
A Bullard magazine folding box camera. The camera is of wooden box construction covered in black leather, with a black leather carrying strap. There is a plate on the top of the camera that reads The Bullard Camera Company, Mass, USA. There are two tripod mounts one on the bottom and one on the right side of the camera The front of the camera opens downwards and the red bellows extend. The standard is on a rising mechanism and there is a prismatic viewfinder mounted on the left of the sliding gallery, on the right is a white(ivory?) scale from 1 - 100 . The lens is marked Wollensak optical company Patent date Feb 8th 1900. Aperture range F8 - F32. The shutter speeds available are 1 - 1/100 sec The rear of the camera unclips to give access to the slide out magazine, which takes 18 photographic plate holders 4x5 inch format which are held in the magazine by pins which are released when the changing dial on the top of the camera is rotated. Full operating instructions are on a printed yellow card attached to the back cover of the magazine.
