Summary
Houghtons Klito No 3 Box Falling box-plate camera. A wooden camera with black leatherette covering and a black leather handle on the top. Divided back door to allow exposed plates to be moved without interfering with unexposed plates. A Rectimat f8 lens. Rack and pinion adjustable lens focus with black leather bellows. Black metal lens cover on outer casing that can rotate to cover the lens window. Brass and mahogany inside camera front. A patent Klito shutter which allows the front shutter to be tested and adjusted without exposing the plates. Inside are 12 metal plate holders for 3¼ x 4¼ plates. (2 with the glass plate) The shutter release button is on the side of the camera. Two brilliant viewfinders one the top and side of body. Tripod bushes on side and base of body. Markings: On the side a metal plate with "Klito No 3 British Made". inside the main body a paper label giving information and instructions on the adjustable speed indicator
