Summary
A Sanderson hand camera (quarter plate size). The body is mahogany covered with black learther. The struts and fittings are brass and the bellows is red leather. It is equipped with both a Bausch & Lomb shutter (up to1/100 sec) and a focal plane shutter (to 1/1000 sec). The focal plane shutter is held in a removable module. The base board has two separate focusing scales marked, one is labelled 'focal plane'. There is also a spirit level and brilliant viewfinder. The lens is a f6.3 Dallmeyer mounted on a rising and tilting plate. It is labelled 'J H Dallmeyer London No 2 xxx Patent No 66289'. The shutter housing is stamped 'Bausch & Lomb Opt.Co. Pat Jan 5 '81' The wooden panel bearing the shutter mount has an enamel plate 'The Sanderson Camera G.H.& S. London' There are two tripod mounts, a carrying handle and a removable hooded ground glass focusing screen.
