Summary
Dallmeyer De Luxe Reflex plate camera for 3 ¼" x 4 ¼" plates. Morocco leather-covered mahogany body, leather bellows. Lens: Dallmeyer 4.5 Serac F4.5 -F32 mounted on rising front. The lens is covered by a hinged flap. Ruby focal plane shutter 1/10-- 1/1000. The front carries a metal plate inscribed DALLMEYER ESTABLISHED 1860. LONDON. LENSES. CAMERAS. On one side is a leather carrying handle and a knob for extending the bellows. On the other side is a shutter speed setting knob showing speeds 1000 to 10 and time, a mirror raising lever and a second knob with settings "B1" and "T". The base has a tripod screw mount. The top viewing screen is accessed through a folding leather hood. This assembly is hinged and inside is a plate bearing the PAT No 6238.12 The rear viewing screen is also hooded and is removable for the insertion of slides. The camera is a Thornton-Pickard RUBY patent, rebadged by Dallmeyer.
