Summary
Adams Yale plate camera. Wooden body covered in black leather, with black leather handle. Internal leather bellows - damaged and no longer fixed to front of camera - used for focusing by rack & pinion. Front panel slides up for removal/access to lens and shutter. Square sliding lens cover inset into front panel. "Magazine" format camera - a number of plates can be contained and exposed successively. There is a leather bag-type plate changing compartment at the rear, accessed by a hinged section. There are 10 simple metal plate holders inside the camera, each measuring 107 x 83 x 3 mm. Spirit levels on top and side. Two brilliant viewfinders. Lens - Zeiss convertible anastigmat f/6.3. Two-blade pivoted shutter.
