Summary
A Zeiss Ikon Nettel-Tropen (tropical) folding hand camera, for 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch plates. It has a Zeiss Tessar f4.5 lens, a focal plane shutter, wire viewfinder, and a focussing screw which operates through moving the bellows struts. The camera body is of polished wood, with metal fittings and black leather bellows, and there is a leather carrying strap. The plate back is is fitted with a "Mackenzie of Wishart patent Daylight Slide". Othe markings; "Zeiss Ikon Nettel" below the focal plane shutter setting knob; "Carl Zeiss Jena Nr 898020 Tessar f4.5 F=15cm" on the lens
