Summary
A twin lens Negretti and Zambra stereo camera. 1862 A sliding box wet plate camera constructed from mahogany with brass barrel mounted twin lenses bearing the engraved manufacturer's mark "Negretti & Zambra London". Fine dove tail joints and inset brass fittings. Rising front and hinged glass focusing screen at back. Fixture for tripod mount on baseboard. On top is a rectangular recess as would have housed a manufacturer's plate.The wooden interior is painted black.
