Summary
A James A. Sinclair & Co. Tropical Una folding field camera, for use by hand or with tripod. Lens mount and lens have become detached from the camera. The camera is made of polished wood (teak or mahogany) with brass fittings, dovetail joints and a leather carry strap on the side. The base board contains a slide that triples the extension of the black leather bellows via a winding mechanism at front right. At front left is a T-shaped spirit level, depth of field gauge and partially rotating brilliant finder in brass mount with hood. At the back of the camera is a removable folding hood that reveals a ground glass focusing screen. Manufacturer's plate with name and address (54 Haymarket, London, SW) is on front of camera.
