Summary

Norka double flap camera shutter with rubber bulb bellows (tube has perished, so bellows bulb is separate from shutter). Wooden with metal fixings and textile strap and edging. Metal spring and string pulley system. Brown rubber bellows bulb and tube. Markings: Embossed into the back of the flaps: "Norka" Reg. Pat. Hansen" and "A/S Nordisk Kamera-Fabrik København" See General Note below for further information about "Norka".

Provenance

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
