Summary
Folding field camera with square bellows and lens with rotating stops by George Hare. The camera is mahogany with red leather laquered bellows, brass fittings, glass focussing screen and rising lens mount. The detachable lens is in brass without cap and has a rotating lens stop with four apertures. Two tripod mounts on side and base. Hinged wooden side stabilises the camera when opened. White rectangular label is engraved with "G. Hare Manufacturer 26 Calthorpe Street London". Estimated date 1870-1890
