Summary
Set of 4 cases each containing 3 metal photographic plate holders (total of 12 plate holders in the set). Each plate is numbered 1 - 12. Cases are made of card coated in black leatherette, with a flap that secured by a metal clip fastener. Each plate holder is black metal, with red velvet on inside edge. Markings: Embossed in the flap of each is "Ernemann, Dresden". Each dark slide is stamped with a number from 1 - 12.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
