Summary

Elioflex Twin Lens Reflex camera by Ferrania. Metal folding hood incorporates fold-out expandable wire frame 'sports finder' for framing pictures, with camera model inscribed on metal panel below sports finder. The camera has a metal body, covered on sides and front with black leatherette. Large, non-focusing brilliant finder. Galileo 'monog' 85mm lens. Metal press clasp opens back for loading film, with metal film winder on rhs. Light exposure time panel on back with covered film exposure mechanism below.

Provenance

Part of The Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
