Summary
A Houghton-Butcher Ensign Carbine folding rollfilm camera with a black finish. The camera is metal bodied and covered with black leather. The bellows are black leather. It has a black leather carry strap embossed Ensign and a brilliant finder. Fittings are in chrome. The shutter is a Compur and the lens is Ross f/6.3. There is a distance scale and rack and pinion focusing rails. Markings on the back cover state, Made in England by the Houghton-Butcher MFC Co Ltd, London and inside, Ask for 31/4 A Ensign rollfilm.
