Summary
Gelatine silver glass dry plate negative in original buff paper wallet, in landscape format, depicting a full length portrait of an older man and woman seated. The woman is resting her arm on a small table. There are bookshelves lining the wall behind them. The buff coloured paper wallet (part of the "Negasys" storage system - see General Note below) is pre-printed in black ink with a form where details of the photograph can be recorded: Date, Subject, Stop & Exposure, Exposure for Transparency, Exposure for Bromide, Exposure for Gaslight Paper, Print Meter No for Carbon etc, and Note. The wallet has a flap, upon which is printed in black ink the number "31". Condition: There is very minor silver mirroring around the edges of the plate. Handwritten in black ink on the wallet, against "Date": 'Sept 1913"; against "Subject": 'Mr & Mrs Hill. Copy; and against "Exposure for Bromide": 'Enl. 2½ secs'.
