Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver photograph in portrait format, depicting part of the medieval San Pellegrino quarter of Viterbo in Italy. There are a number of arches and passages, with flagstone paving and steps in the distance. The image is mounted on grey paper and then on dark grey card. The image has a matt finish and there is minor silvering at the edges. Markings: Verso: Handwritten in black ink: "Viterbo" and in pencil: "No. 5" Part of the Christie-Miller collection; photographs taken by Charles Wakefield Christie-Miller (1877-1976).
