Summary

A monochrome gelatine silver photograph in landscape format, depicting the view looking along the Grand Canal towards the church of S. Maria della Salute In Venice. The image is mounted on grey paper and then on dark grey card. The image has a matt finish and minor silvering at the edges. Markings: Verso: Handwritten in pencil: "S. Maria di Salute. Grand Canal" and the number "1" circled. Part of the Christie-Miller collection; photographs taken by Charles Wakefield Christie-Miller (1877-1976).
