Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver photograph in landscape format, depicting a footbridge over a river, on the island of Torcello, Venice. The view is from the river path and there is a gondola type boat on the river with a passenger and two people propelling it along with poles. (This bridge is also pictured in image 1522864.15). The image is mounted on grey paper and then on dark grey card. The image has a matt finish and there is a small amount of silvering at the edges. Markings: Verso: Handwritten in pencil: "Torcello". Part of the Christie-Miller collection; photographs taken by Charles Wakefield Christie-Miller (1877-1976).
