Summary
A Kodachrome colour slide depicting the Oriel Window at Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire, famous as the subject of Fox Talbot's earliest surviving photographic negative. The transparency is held in a white card Kodachrome branded slide mount, the design of which dates to 1965-1972. Stamped on the mount in red is the processing date: May 67 and the number 19. Handwritten in black ink at the top of the mount is "Wilts NT. Lacock Abbey Oriole (sic) Window. Fox Talbot!".
