Summary
A chromogenic print by German photographer Ulrich Mack depicting a beach with the tide out, from a series entitled "Stille". The image is printed on heavy white paper, with a glossy surface and has a wide white border around it. There are cloud formations reflected in the pools of water left on the sand. The image is predominantly shades of blue and white in the sky reflected in the water. Markings: Embossed in the bottom left corner of the paper is "Pellworm" and in the bottom right corner is "Mack." Handwritten in pencil in the centre beneath the image is "Fox Talbot Museum, Bob Lassam" and to the right of this is "Ulrich Mack". [Bob Lassam was the first curator of the Fox Talbot Museum from 1975-1989. See General Note.] [Ulrich Mack spent the period from 1978 to 1981 photographing the people of Pellworm.]
