Summary
Monochrome albumen print by an unknown photographer, depicting the south door of Lincoln Cathedral. A carved stone gothic archway, with stone figures, around oak doors, it depicts the Last Judgement and is known as the Judgement Porch. Railings run along the side of the cathedral. Also visible in the image are the windows each side of the door. The image is mounted on heavy white paper and this has been cut out around the edges of the image and then affixed to another larger sheet of paper, with a second photograph mounted above (Inv. No. 1522482 - Lichfield Cathedral). There are minor tears to the edges of the paper. The photograph probably dates to between approximately 1860-1880. Markings: None.
