Summary
A calotype, salt print that depicts a gravestone in a penciled frame. The writing on the gravestone is difficult to read, but at the bottom one can see the name Talbot. In the background is a door to a chuch building and a tall tree. There is a partial view of another headstone on the left. The salt print is to the right of the calotype. The image is mounted on heavy white card, with a heavy white card frame Markings: Recto. Handwritten in pencil at the top of the lefthand image, "a butterfly". Verso. Handwritten in pencil on the left of the lefthand image, "A butterfly for william", "Claudio Santambrogio 2014".
