Summary
A Dufaycolor transparency stereograph depicting a view through a stone arch of the Market Hall in the High Street of Chipping Campden in the Cotswold area of Gloucestershire. A woman in pale blue coat and hat is standing with her back to the camera, near to a lamppost. She is looking towards buildings in the town. There is a small area of grass sloping down to the road on the right, with a tree. On the left is a row of buildings one of which has a 'Hovis' sign on the wall. Outside this building is a second woman with a small child and a pram. There are further buildings, two cars on the road, and a church in the distance. The transparencies are mounted between two pieces of card, with an additional sheet of transparent film over one side. Recto is black card, verso is beige card, both with rounded corners. The apertures through which the images are viewed are hand-cut and have square corners and straight edges. There is a space of 5 mm between them. Markings: Recto - None. Verso - None.
