Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver print stereograph view of grapes growing in a greenhouse. The vine appears to be particularly fruitful, probably due to the heating provided by the (heating) pipes on the floor. In the foreground is a small potted palm, together with a number of other plants in pots. The 2 images have square corners and are straight edged, with a space of 1mm between them. They are mounted on card which is dark burgundy on recto and verso. It has rounded corners and gold surrounds. Markings: Recto - nil Verso - Handwritten in black ink, on a white label, "Vinery 18".
Provenance
Donated on 5 September 2012 to the Fox Talbot Museum by Mrs Sylvia Warwick.
