Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver print stereograph of a view of the Coronation Dinner 1902, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, taken from an elevated position. It features hundreds of people sitting down for a formal meal at elongated tables, that have been set up along side a road. The tables are decorated with flowers and are set out with crockery, cutlery and glasses. A row of local shops is in the background. The 2 images have square corners and are straight edged, with a space of 1mm between them. They are mounted on card which is light grey on recto and verso. It has rounded corners. Markings: Recto - Handwritten in pencil, "Coronation Dinner", "Chipping Norton" Verso - Handwritten in pencil, "22", Coronation Dinner, unreadable, Mr P, June 26 1902 ".
