Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver print stereograph of a view of a snowy domestic garden, Chipping Norton. The images are mounted between two pieces of card, the front one being black and the back one white. The card has square corners. The apertures through which the images are seen have arched tops and straight edges at the bottom. There is a space of 5 mm between them. The image depicts a view of a Mr Pettipher's garden covered in deep snow. A path has been cleared from a wooden shed in the right foreground to the house in the background, snow has been piled up on the left hand side. Markings: Verso, handwritten in pencil, "Snow 1947" and "Chipping Norton, Mr Pettipher's garden". (T.H. Pettipher was the photographer who took a number of the photographs in this set of Chipping Norton area.)
