Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver print stereograph of a snowy view of the Banbury Road (?), Chipping Norton. The 2 images are straight edged with no space between them. They are mounted on card which is maroon on recto and dark grey-brown on verso. It has rounded corners. The image depicts a view a rural road, with wheel tracks in the snow on the left and numerous foot prints. There is quite a large mound on right hand side of the road. The surrounding trees and rough wooden fences are all thick with snow. Markings: Verso, handwritten in pencil, "Snow" and "Chipping Norton, Banbury Road(?)".
