Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver print stereograph of a waggon and horses near Leafield, Oxfordshire. The 2 images are straight edged and have a gap of 2mm between them. They are mounted on card which is matt black on recto and dark grey-brown on verso. It has rounded corners. The image shows a large waggon, full of people sitting and standing, being pulled by two shire horses in single file. The front horse has a young male sat on it, whilst a shirt sleeved man is stood by the rear of the second horse. The waggon is stationary on the lane with a large house in the background. Markings: Verso, a pre-printed proforma in black ink has space for details of the photograph. The details are written in black pen - "The Village Outing 1936 A typical Cotswold waggon and team At Leafield".
