Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver print stereograph of the Fettiplace Crest in St Mary the Virgin, Swinbrook, Oxfordshire. The 2 images, with rectangular top edges, are mounted in a black card frame with rounded corners and a space of 3 mm between them. The image shows a knight's helmet topped by an eagle/griffin head mounted high on the wall above a carved notice. To its right is part of the 1613 tomb shows three male Fettiplaces, recumbent, stacked as if on shelves, one above the other. There is an addition Fettiplace tomb constructed in 1686. Marking: Verso, written in black ink vertically on the left hand side " Swinbrook. Fettiplace Crest". Remarks, "Reminds me of Mr Neville Chamberlain"
