Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver print stereograph of carved choir stalls and misericords in St Mary the Virgin, Swinbrook, Oxfordshire. The 2 images, with rectangular top edges, are mounted in a black card frame with rounded corners and there is no space between them. The image shows the15th century choir stalls. The carvings are diverse: the misericord carving shows a a grimacing man with a huge nose, while the arm carvings show a woman's head and a fish eating a fish. Marking: Verso, written in pencil vertically on the left hand side "Swinbrook Church".
