Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver print stereograph of carved benches, St Peter's church, Walpole St Peter, Norfolk. The 2 images, with rectangular top edges, are mounted in a black card frame with rounded corners and a space of 5 mm between them. The image shows the 15th century south aisle benches, which are tiered and face inwards. There are elaborate carvings at each end and on the arm rests. The windows behind are all of plain glass. Markings: Recto, written in pencil horizontally on the top right hand corner "100" Verso, written in black ink vertically on the left hand side, "Places in the Sun". On the right hand side, "Old Stalls in the parish church of Walpole S. Peter".
