Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver print stereograph depicting a Miserere at Ripple Church, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. The image is of the top of a carved wooden miserere with a 3D carving of a person leading a horse up a track. The 2 images, with rectangular top edges, are mounted on black card with rounded corners and there is a space of 4mm between them. Markings: Recto: Top left hand corner number 10 in pencil. Verso: Handwritten in pen, on the left-handside, "Miserere, Ripple Church, Near Tewkesbury T.H.Pettipher". Also handwritten in blue crayon the number 18, and on a small white label the number 4822 is printed. On the right-handside printed in grey is, "PETTIPHER CHIPPING NORTON".
