Summary
A monochrome albumen print stereograph depicting The Charms of the Sulden-Thal, Tyrol, Austria. The view shows 5 women, in local dress, standing/sitting in the foreground. Behind them, a valley runs away to snow covered mountains in the background. To the left of them are the roofs of several small buildings, to the right and below them are wooden fences, forming a pen. The 2 images, with arched top edges, are mounted on grey card with rounded corners and there is no space between them. Markings: Recto: Printed in black vertically up the right-hand side, “Works and Studios, Washington DC, Arlington, NJ, Littleton NH” and on the left-hand side, "Underwood & Underwood. Publishers.
