Summary
Monochrome half-tone photomechanical print stereograph published by W. Tylar, A Fruit Seller, Durban, c.1900 The 2 images, with rounded upper corners, are mounted on white card, with rounded corners and there is a space of 3mm between them. The view shows a fruit seller in Durban, South Africa, sitting in front of his open plan shop, next to his scales. He has an extensive display of various fruit and vegetables, either resting on cardboard boxes, hanging from the ceiling or on racks at the back. There are woven baskets hanging at the front and sheets of newspaper hanging at the back (resumably for wrapping purchases up).

Nearly the whole of the market gardening in Natal is done by Indians, or, as they are more commonly called, "coolies."
