A monochrome halftone photomechanical print stereograph of replacement horses being offloaded from a steamship of the Houlder Line in Durban, Natal, South Africa.The 2 images, with rounded upper corners, are mounted on white card, with rounded corners and there is a space of 3mm between them. The view shows a replacement horse being led off a steamship via a gangway by a local worker. Other workers are sitting on a wall in the foreground and standing in the mid-ground, in front of 2 loaded rail wagons.
