Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver stereograph of a Travelling Shop, Tyrol, Austria The 2 images are mounted on heavy black card, with rounded corners and there is no space between them. The view shows a horse and cart, described as a "Travelling Shop". The cart has a partial cover, that shelters the driver. There are 2 buckets suspended underneath the cart, which is standing alongside a stack of cut logs. Behind it is a wooden telephone/telegraph pole, that connects to a building in the mid-ground. This building has a petrol pump in front of it (possibly the Shell brand). In front of this building is what appears to be a small chapel or a school, given the bell and the shape of the windows. In the background are partially wooden mountains. Markings:Recto, handside handwritten in pencil, top right hand corner, "82". Verso, handside handwritten in pencil, " Travelling Shop, Tyrol. 1932. With the horse taken out the vehicle will stand level on the wheels and the triangle below the shafts. Could also be used as travelling caravan".
