Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver stereograph of a high-level river view, Hoch Furstermund(?), Tyrol, Austria The 2 images are mounted on heavy black card, with rounded corners and there is no space between them. The view, from the side of a high level road, shows a winding river in the base of a valley. There are a number of buildings on the right hand bank of the river and a track/road on the left hand bank. In the foreground is a safety wall for the road and a rock outcrop, with a model mountain goat perched on top. The road can be seen following the contours of the mountain on the right of the image. The river valley continues into the background, surrounded by partially wooded mountains. Markings:Recto, handside handwritten in pencil,top right hand corner, "82". Verso, handside handwritten in pencil, " Hoch Furstermund(?), Austrian Tyrol. 1932".
