Summary
A wet collodion negative plate depicting a woman in crinoline dress, standing next to a small pedestal table by her side. A full-length studio portrait with props. Approximately half-plate negative on roughly cut glass 126 mm x 102 mm (American size: 5" x 4".) Some of the collodion binder is missing from the corners, there are cracks, ripples and pour marks. The number 438 has been scratched into the collodion binder on the top edge.
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
