Summary
A Frena Gelatine Silver film negative depicting a view of the coastal steamer "Solstand" in harbour, Norway. The negative has rectangular cutouts on the top and bottom.The view is taken from ground level and shows the ship moored in the harbour. There are also several smaller sailing ships moored up, with some much larger ships in the background. To the left of the image are wooden warehouses and in front of them, on the quay (which is lit by street lights), are 2 men and a boy, looking at the camera. On the far side of the harbour the houses of the town rise up the lower slopes of mountainous terrain.
