Summary
A cardboard box containing 14 Frena Gelatine Silver film negatives. It also contains brown light card deviders,which have cut outs on the long sides to match and protect the negatives. The top of the lid is grey with an ornate watermark and burgundy sides. The box is a darker brown, again with burgundy sides. Lid Markings: Printed in burgundy, "20 Frena Films. The Austin-Edwards Frena Films. Patent Quarter Plate Size. R & J Beck Ltd. 68, Cornhill, London, EC". Around these titles are printed, "To be protected from light and moisture. Teme la luce e l'umidità. Craint la lumiere et l'humidité. Vor Licht und Feuchtigkeit zu bewahren." Handwritten on the right hand side of the lid top, "Norway 1909". Left side is damaged Right side is printed, "These films not being manufactured by R&J Beck,Ltd.,they can take no responsibility for any defects that they may possess, although they take every means in their power to ensure that all films supplied are of the best quality". Stamped "Batch 4780A" Printed on the bottom side is "The Austin-Edwards". Top side is damaged. Box Markings on the base: printed "Note that the dull surface of these Films is the sensitive side".
