Summary
A wet collodion negative plate depicting a woman standing by a chair, resting her hand on the back of it. There is a hat on the seat and a cloak draped over the chair back. A full-length studio portrait with props. Approximately half-plate negative on roughly cut glass 126 mm x 102 mm (American size: 5" x 4".) The collodion binder is missing from the corners, there is a fingerprint in the bottom left corner and there are ripples in the varnish. The number 299 has been scratched into the collodion binder twice in the top quadrant.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
