Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver glass lantern slide, depicting a large crowd of men facing a long high wall. Their dress and the architecture indicates that it is in the middle east or Africa. There is a white paper label on the top left edge, upon which is handwritten "78". Two sheets of glass, 83 mm x 83 mm, one of which carries the image and the other is a cover glass, bound together with black fabric tape. Behind the cover glass there is a black paper mask over the images to form an oval image. Part of the top cover glass is broken off in the bottom right corner.
