Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver glass lantern slide, depicting an life-model enacted scene of a simple Victorian kitchen, with an older woman, in bonnet and apron, seated, and a younger woman in apron, standing, hands on hips. The slide is part of a series depicting a narrative. Two sheets of glass, 83 mm x 83 mm, one of which carries the image and the other is a cover glass - originally these would have been bound together with tape, but this is missing. The negative has been masked so that there is a circular mask within the photographic image.
