Summary
A Frena Gelatine Silver film negative depicting a view of the statue of Alexander II, Senate Square, Helsinki, Finland. The negative has rectangular cutouts on the top and bottom.The view is taken from ground level and shows the statue which comprises of Alexander on a pedestal surrounded by figures representing law, culture, and peasants. In the background is a partial view of Helsinki Cathedral and on the left is The Palace of the Council of State (or Government Palace), which is now the Prime Minister's offices. There is a large ladder reaching to the roof of the latter.
